Samsung Gear S3 Classic Wikipedia Gear S3 So not too long ago my dress watch's battery died so I decided to purchase this through Verizon and give it a try. I opted for the number share feature that allows you to use this device standalone even if you are away from your phone. It connects to my phone via bluetooth but can also work with the number share service I have. The previous versions of the Gear were ok but something about the look of this one and the standard watch band that can be purchased made this a great option for me. The Samsung Gear S2 was alright but the limited number of bands that could be purchased was a bit of a let down and its looks weren't quite what I was hoping for. It looked ok for day to day usage but looked a bit silly when I would dress up for dinner or things of that nature. What a refreshing purchase the S3 has been. Out of the box professional looking and I have to say the performance and options this watch has when paired with my Note 8

Surface Pro VS 2018 iPad Worked on this flag for a week and a half and really proud of how it turned out! Started on a 2018 iPad and finished on a Surface Pro. Love the apple pencil paired with the tablet! Melissa and Lexi both have iPad pros which is awesome. I have found a beautiful mix of technology mixed with 1TB of one drive is seamless!

                          So a couple months ago I somehow, still not sure how, fell asleep to a perfectly fine Surface Pro and woke up to a Surface with a broken screen. My heart sank and I wasn't sure what I was going to do! The screen was cracked all the way from top to bottom. Must have been a rough night in bed because the Surface was sitting beside the bed and somehow still was broken. I panicked briefly when I saw that Microsoft wanted $600 to either fix or replace the device. Did I have $600.... NO! With a heavy heart I started researching costs to do it myself and came up around $210, that is a little more manageable! I watched a couple of videos on how to do it and of course they made it look easy.             I just so happened to be driving through town later that day and came across a store front called Fix A Phone. Microsoft Windows 10 So it has been a couple of months since I re installed Windows 10 and nothing but praises! As all you Windows users out there know that WOW fast at first but give it a few months. I think Windows 10 is one the most stripped down versions of Windows ever that runs amazing on some decent hardware. I sport on a 1.8GHz processor! (Crappy Right LOL), but sport 1TB HD, 8GB of DDR5 and 4GB of video RAM. Processor could be better but all other specs are awesome for a laptop right now. Anyway enough about that. The reason I even brought this up is that I just wanted to rest everyone assured that if you have the hardware to run Windows 10 please do! So Steam steps up and does it right! I know that Steam has been around for a long time and that must say something about the service they provide. I have been using Steam for years to buy my computer games and it still holds up today! They even took it one step further and allowed family sharing between Steam users. I instantly inherited about 80 games when I shared with Austin. I have been trying to convince my brother to game share with me. One of the games that I love to play is not shareable unfortunately~~~! Other older games I am sure are. I am currently downloading Battlefield Bad Company 2 right now. !~~~Night Mode on showing on above picture~~~! So lately at night and I mean about the last month and a half I had trouble going to sleep after a long computer session. I believe that the reason for that is the blue light that is emitted as a standard display on Windows 10. It's a gorgeous display and there is nothing wrong with that. I use my computer like that during the day. What I love is night light for the evenings. I simply get into the display settings and turn it on in the evenings. It cast a reddish hue over everything and seems to be much easier on the eyes. Onyx Studio 4 Why the heck are these speakers so expensive???? I asked myself that same thing a few months ago! I went and discovered that I could get 2 cheaper than I could buy 1 and give one to Lexi. I bought 2 and let me tell you something! This is hands down the best B.T. speaker I have ever owned. The sound of that deep pronouncing bass is incredible~~! Sharp voice punches and tweeters teasing your ear. Do you want to fill the room with an incredible sound. Welcome to the Onyx Studio 4. One great feature but yet can be confusing at first is 2 connection blue tooth. You can hook 2 devices to the studio and swap turns but if you only want to use one the other can steal the connection, messed with me for a quick minute today. Turned off BT on my phone and we are in rock and roll mode. This is the 3rd blue tooth speak I have owned and sing it nothing but praise. I recently decided to start hitting up the Xbox again after my laptop miserably failed to play the games that I wanted to play, not less bought one of them. I dusted off the Xbox and realized that my Gold subscription was out of date and I wanted to play PUB G. Melissa bought me a month of Xbox live and I dropped the cash for the game. Down side....... The game would not play because my Xbox was not letting it know that I had Gold now. I got frustrated and went to bed thinking that no problem I would work on it when I got home from work. I came home that night on a mission and soon came up blank. My Xbox would not recognize my Gold subscription and couldn't play PUB G again. I called Microsoft! After a 20 minute hold I talked to someone who in about 2 minutes had my Xbox back and in the new. PUB G got good use and I was a happy customer. Thank you Microsoft for providing good customer service and making me a happy customer.

HP Beats 15 Laptop I recently embarked on a mission and here is what happened! I recently broke my Surface Pro screen which decided to make the touch screen not work. I limped along for a couple of days with a BT mouse and keyboard but then that stopped working all together as well. What do I do??? I broke out an old friend with some specs and decided that's what I have to do until I get the Surface fixed. I suddenly realized that all the BS that HP installs on a laptop is doing nothing but slowing down what I actually want to do. I decided to call in reinforcements after I spent 2 hours deleting unnecessary programs and still wasn't happy. I needed to start fresh, from scratch! I told my boss man what was going on and he said he would bring the Windows 10 files to work the next day. Now all I had to was figure out how to boot to a USB drive and I would be all set. For Article Click Here So I sat out the mission tonight to speed up my lagging laptop. I recently had to revert back to this because my Surface Pro is temporarily out of commission. That's what happens when you somehow, even if you don't know how, break an extremely nice piece of technology. My great laptop was running slow. Here are the specs of my laptop and you tell me if it should choke on anything. 1 TB hard drive, 8 GB of Ram and 4 GB of video Ram. If you ask me this thing should zing through anything. I found myself a little frustrated with it when the Surface Pro had half the specs. The only thing I could think of was that the HD in the Surface was solid state and maybe that where the difference was. After some soul searching and a little bit of research I realized that the bloatware on my laptop may be what was slowing it down. I decided to spend about an hour and clean up the HD. So far a very interesting program on my Surface Pro. Works great with the Microsoft pen! Only complaint so far is the lack of a paint brush! Makes it impossible to lightly blend colors together. I found this in the Microsoft store. Happy with the experience so far. Think I'll color for a few!

Microsoft Edge vs Google Chrome So as of today it has been 10 days since I decided to fully make the switch from Chrome to Edge. The results are in and I have to say that I am impressed with Edge but don't see any real advantages to keeping the switch. It has some nice features but so does Chrome. One of the sites I use daily is not supported in Edge. I am talking about Google Allo. Allo is a texting function that connects your PC to your phone so that you can text on your computer. I have yet to find a Microsoft solution for that. I believe that I will most likely be switching back to Chrome. I gave Edge a full 10 day fair shake but just can't seem to convince myself to make the switch. As of today it's back to Chrome!

So does anyone wonder how I feel after being unplugged from Chrome? Probably not......LOL 😂 Well I have been taking notes and so far only 1 downside. The app that I use to text on my Surface is Google's incredible texting app called Allo. Apparently Edge does not support that so I am being forced to open a Chrome window for texting and using Edge for everything else. The bookmarks imported from Chrome were perfect. Had to re enter passwords for all my online playgrounds only once. Thank god I am good at remembering passwords! All in all first impressions??? I have adjusted but still prefer Google over Bing for searching.

Onyx Studio 4 I have been using this speaker for months now. I am really impressed with the quality of the sound mixed with some very punchy bass even at low volumes. Dual channel BT support rocks! You may say it's too big to be portable but I beg to differ! I drag this sucker everywhere with me. It's one of my favorite pieces of my Surface Pro setup. BT to the speaker for truly world class sound! Way to hit a homerun Harman but some of you may not like the price tag! Happy customer!

Upper Falls Old Man's Cave Ash Cave Hocking Hills We had an amazing couple of days in our favorite part of Ohio. We stayed with our good friends Jim and Sharon in our own little cottage for a couple of days. Best kept secret in Hocking for lodging is Enchanted Acres. Google it and you can find it! Home now after 2 days and relaxing while I look at over 400 photos that me and Melissa took the last couple of days. It was my most memorable trip to Hocking that I have ever had and I've been going there for over 25 years. Life has truly blessed us lately! 6 predictions for 2018 Some light reading for all you nerds like me out there. I may have just become a Surface Pro junkie!
